Football Jamboree 2010

GO PIONEERS!!
Mac had 2 games on Saturday. We had to be there early, 7 am for weigh in and the games at 8:00 and 9:00. He did an awesome job, as did the whole team. They won both of their games!
In the picture above he is in the red/black jersey getting ready to take on his opponent...
In the picture below, they are fighting for the tackle. (right side of picture)

Mac is #14. He caught the only pass of the game and ran as fast as he could...he was taken down by 3 players and loved every minute of it!
It was a great start to the season!

He is such a good looking kiddo!!

Getting some advice from Dad...

Griff was happy to be down and free...he spent most of the time playing with the stroller.

The things she does...

Lilly has a new use for the child safety outlet covers...
put them on your nose! She says "color them red and you can be Rudolph".
She keeps me laughing...love her to the moon and back!

Joy Ride

Lilly and Griff have been taking little drives in her "gorgeous" pink mustang.
Griff was clearly enjoying himself, just laughing and smiling the whole time...
until I ran to get the camera. When he saw the camera, he gave me the "stink eye".
Silly boy- he's not fooling his Momma...he loves riding in that pink car with his big sis!
He'll be driving it in no time-

An Adventure at Bullwinkles!

What a blast we had at Bullwinkles for Hunter and Logan's 5th birthday! (Bullwinkles is like Chuck E Cheese's, but bigger and better) They have play-lands, arcades and a theme park outside. Lots of fun and lots of noise!

Both kids gave the rock wall their best shot! Mac made it nearly all the way up.

Mac also conquered the obstacle course in the sky...it was pretty darn high!

Both kids loved the water bumper boats-
Griff, as usual, enjoyed lots of attention and chewing on things!
It was a grand day indeed! We also did go-karts and miniature golf, I somehow didn't snap any pictures of that...oh and yes, laser tag too. We were all a bit tired at the end of the day.

Clackamas County Fair

We went to our old hometown of Canby for the County Fair yesterday. It was a great day! We started out at Momma B's house and walked down to watch the parade. After the parade was over, it was carnival time!
Yes, Griff sort of has his first "shiner"- he hit the corner of his eye on the train table in our playroom. The boy is covered in bumps and bruises most of the time. He is in to everything!!

Lilly always has to have her face painted- it has become a tradition. Both kids love all the rides and have ZERO FEAR of them. Lilly gets totally ticked when she is told that she is too small to ride some of them...

The 4-H and FFA animals are always a big hit for the kids. We visit with the bunny's, hens, ducks, pigs, horses, cows, goats, sheep...
...and this ugly looking thing!

The OMSI station was new this year and my kids loved it. Mac really likes science, so he could have spent most of the day there.
A bonus of the day was running into a lot of our neighbors and friends. It was great to see all of you!!
We ended the day with a pony ride, snow cones and cotton candy.
It was a MAD DASH to get home for football practice...we made it just in time!

Seaside

Our day trip on Sunday to Seaside turned out fabulous! We ALL had a great time. I started out feeling guilty for leaving Griff behind, but I knew he would have a great day with Momma B, and he did! The beach isn't much fun for him because he wants to eat sand and gets tired of me telling him "NO" to everything...LOL-
Anyhow, the day was perfect. The weather was awesome.
The kids played and played on the beach. We made sand castles, got wet in the surf, flew the Nemo kite that Lilly got for her birthday way back in April and just enjoyed the sunshine!

Lilly had never flown a kite before this trip. She was more fascinated by it's shadow than actually flying the kite. It was pretty funny watching her-

Mac was an instant pro and had to give his 'lil sis some pointers...

Seaside is probably one of my favorite spots on the Oregon Coast because of the beach and the Broadway that runs along it. There is SO MUCH to do. We ate tons of goodies, did a bit of shopping, went to the Aquarium and played at Funland!
The kids had their sugar intake and then some in no time!
Ever had a Chocolate Covered BACON TWINKIE??
MAC HAS!
So Gross... maybe-
I did not taste it, so maybe I should not judge-
The candy shop we went in had about 13 different types of Twinkies and Mac had to try the bacon one...HE LOVED IT. I was relieved that Lilly only wanted her butterfly lollipop...
We also couldn't leave without getting Grandpa Tex some salt water taffy, it's one of his favorites.

Ya-Hoo...Funland!

The Aquarium there is small, but it has a lot of great stuff to do and see. The kids love feeding the rescued Sea Lions. They are so cute and full of personality!!

We also like the open tanks where you can touch and hold sea cucumbers, sea anemones, crabs and star fish.

This is a Sea Cucumber- strange looking creature. Have to share what Lilly said about them- When I told her what they were called, Sea Cucumbers, she replied with "I am not eating cucumbers anymore". Mac and I busted up laughing... however, Lilly was serious. She has not eaten a cucumber since!

Mac likes the eels. He says they look like grumpy old men??
The Octopus was sleeping.

It was a fun packed day. We didn't get home until about 11:00 p.m.
Mac and Lilly really enjoyed some alone time with just Pat and I, so THANK YOU Momma B for spending the day with Griff!
