Draggin'

Hey All,
Short Post- long weekend...have 2 sick kids. Mac and Griff were both down over the weekend. Pat broke his ankle on Saturday night. I took him to the ER where most of the poeple there were totally incompetent. Told him was not broken, sent him home with only an air-cast and some Motrin for pain. No crutches or anything helpful. I knew better, so stopped at a Walgreen's that was open 24 hours, got some crutches and brought him home. Sunday morning, his phone rings and it's the ER saying that the Doc miss-read the X-Rays and Radiologist said it was broken. They were a bit stressed about sending him home on a broken ankle and wanted him to come back ASAP for a splint and to write us a referral for an Orthopedic Surgeon.
We are waiting to hear back for an appt. Hopefully this afternoon or early tomorrow. I know it's really painful and he is really frustrated. He has never had a broken bone. Made it to 42 years old with out breaking anything. For as many sports and activities he does, that's a pretty good record!!
Well, that's all I have time for right now, will post more later-

Romp to Stomp!

Hello Friends and Family!

This is a picture of my "Snow Bunnies" snow shoe team from last year at Mt. Hood. I have just joined them and The Romp to Stomp fund raiser for breast cancer for the first time! I am very excited about joining this team and raising funds for this very important cause!!

For the last few years, I have done The Relay for Life Race and did not always try to raise any extra funds for the cause. I figured the cost of my entry fee and purchasing a shirt at the event was enough. Well - there is no cure for breast cancer yet, so I am signed back up for a new and fun race in February 2011. This year my family and I have been blessed with good health. Unfortunately breast cancer is still running rampant in our world. Funds from this event stay for the most part in the North West. I am hoping to raise money to help cure breast cancer - just $10 at a time! It is easy to donate. Please just click on the link below and you can donate to the cause on behalf of our 2011 team

THE TAHITIAN TA TA's.

Yep, we are losing the bunny ears for flowers in our hair and coconut bras! Please help raise money for the cure by sponsoring me today!! I am hoping 2011 be a great year for you and your families. Stay healthy and stay in touch.

Thanks so much!

There were a lot of friends that I didn't get to see, but you all sent me lots of birthday wishes! Thanks for remembering me!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Mmmmmm....doesn't this look yummy??
Well, believe it or not... it's a CANDLE! One of my Daisy girls gave it to me for my birthday. It smells so yummy too. Just like chocolate!! The kids and Pat thought it was real and wanted to eat it. I have been burning it today and the whole house smells like a sundae!
I wanted to put a link on here to the candle company. They are family owned and operated. They are local too-
www.TickleCreekCandles.com
They hand pour all the candles. I know they have a booth every year at the Sandy Mountain Festival.
Anyhow, it rocks!
Stay tuned for some birthday happenings...we are going out tonight!

New Year's LaPine Trip 2010

Our last trip to LaPine turned out to be a lot of fun. The kids all had a good time and there was a lot of snow!! Unfortunately, Dad's new sled was not running. A big bummer for him because he headed back home from there and it was his last chance to ride before leaving. We made the best of it. Some of the other sleds were running fine and we had Sherry & Jimmy's 4 wheeler to ride. Griff loved it!

By the end of the busy week, my kids were just completely tuckered out. There was always something going on. They played in the snow for hours at a time, went sledding, rode the sleds and 4 wheeler, went ice skating, watched movies, played video games, ate lots of junk food and stayed up late every night...ahhh, that's what vacations are for!

We ended the trip with a Birthday celebration for Mac. He is officially 10 years old now...YIKES and a sad farewell to Grandpa Tex. We had a great visit. I am so thankful that he makes the long haul up here to spend so much time with all of us. He is now home and still "thawing out"...LOL!

Pat's Surprise Party...back in November

We had a big surprise party for Pat in November. It was a Vegas/Casino night theme. It turned out to be a lot of fun and we had a great time!
Hey, l@@k Dave...you made it on our blog! LOL...

Thanks to all my Gals for helping me pull everything together! I know nothing about gambling games and you all helped me figure it out. The Poker tables and black jack table were a hit!
Also, big thanks to Momma B for watching our babies while we "lived it up"!
