Lilly is going to Mars!

Ha, bet that story line got your attention! She SO wishes she could go to Mars!

Her class has been studying the solar system, each planet, space, etc. Lilly thoroughly enjoyed this unit! They had an assignment to find a current media event or story and write about it and present it to their class. So, we got on-line and looked through a ton of stories and events...this one caught our eye for sure, so she hopped right on it and wrote up her report, printed of her pictures and could hardly wait to get back to school to show her classmates.

It's called Going to Mars with Maven campaign. You can submit your name and a message to be sent into Mars orbit on the Maven spacecraft. Your message has to be in the form of a haiku poem. Anybody on planet Earth is welcome to participate...you even get an official certificate that shows your name will be flown aboard the spacecraft as it journeys to Mars!

Her classmates all thought it was "super cool" and were ready to log on to the site and join in the fun.
