John and Nora are here!

John and Nora came in late Tuesday night. We were anxious to see them. These are pictures from Wednesday morning. I could not get Lilly in the group pictures, she did not want her picture taken at that moment....stubborn kid!
We had breakfast and helped them plan a road trip. They are in eastern Oregon at the moment.
I hope they can fit all they wanted to do into their short trip! They were going to hike, sight see, fish, camp, swim, visit Crater Lake, etc.... a lot of stuff in a short amount of time.
They will be back here on Sunday and we can spend some time with them then. John wants to explore Mt. Hood a bit more and since we live in the foothills of the mountain, it works out perfectly! We are looking forward to having a few days with them before they leave on Wednesday.

Float/Rafting Trip

This was the guys trip on the Umpqua River. They did a float trip on Saturday, fished, camped and had a lot of fun. They were fishing for bass and all caught a lot of them. Dad caught the most.

Mac and Alec fishing.

Dad really enjoyed the pontoon.

It is beautiful there.

Pat likes to pontoon too!
Lilly and I ended up staying home for this trip. It was VERY hot and I had a lot to do before John and Nora's arrival. It was kind of nice to have some down time. I have been feeling good and keeping up with all the activities, but my legs/varicose veins are starting to hurt some, so I took advantage of this time and propped them up.
Thank You Dan and Daisy for putting this trip together! As soon as I get the rest of the trip pictures from Mike, I will get them posted!

LaPine Trip

I have a lot to update you all on. We have been going and going...
these are pictures from our trip to LaPine, (Eastern Oregon) where our house is. We had a great time and Dad was able to see a lot of country. We started out at at the Lava Cast Forest and Caves.

It was 40 degrees down in the Lava Caves, my camera was freezing up within a few minutes. Below is Dad walking in front of Pat.

This was the entrance. It was steep with lots of steps, but Dad managed his way through it. He really wanted to see it...

These pictures are from the top of the Lava Butte. The lava flow went for miles and miles...

This next set of pictures is from Crane Prairie Lake. We had a great day there. We rented a boat, fished and just enjoy the day...

Lilly enjoyed the boat and "fed" the fish her fruit loops!

The kids really love fishing.

You may have to click on this picture to enlarge it. These are baby frogs! There were HUNDREDS of them all over. You had to be careful not to step on them. The kids loved catching them!!

This is Paulina Peak and Paulina Falls. In the winter when we have snow, we ride the snowmobiles from the house to Paulina Peak. It is really beautiful up there. Elevation is about 8,000 feet.

Looking down at Paulina Lake.

Dad and kids at Paulina Falls.

Lilly was exhausted by about day 3 of our trip. We all had a GREAT time!

The Reptile Man

We went to the library to see the Reptile Man last Thursday. Mac JUST LOVES this guy. We try to go to as many of his shows as possible. The kids are always in a "trance" when he starts bringing out all his creatures... this first snake was not in the best mood!

A Cobra!

Mac's face says it all! He got a KISS on the nose from a Dragon Lizard that had a blue tongue, but I could not get a picture...BUMMER!

A Baby Croc-

There were plenty of snakes on hand.... I kind of had chills for a bit. My Dad enjoyed seeing all of them up close too. It was pretty neat.

Stay tuned for more pictures. I am WAY BEHIND on blogging. I still have pictures from our trip to LaPine and the float/rafting trip from this weekend. YIKES...we have been busy! We are all having a great time. John and Nora fly in late tomorrow night, so we will be even busier I'm sure!

Another Peek at Baby Potter #3

Here is our Baby! All of these are profiles pictures. Baby was not in a good position for picture taking today, but we managed to get a few glimpses...

We had a full room. Dad, Kathy (Pat's mom), Pat and both of the kids were all with me and got to see the ultrasound and hear the heartbeat. Dad really wanted to know what the sex of the baby is, but I stood my ground and said NO! It was kind of hard and I almost caved.....
Baby looks awesome, weighs almost a full 1 pound. Heart, brain, kidneys, bladder, limbs etc. are looking great and functioning fully!
Dad and Pat both think they saw signs of a Baby Boy, but I am sure that they were looking at the umbilical cord....HA! Typical Guys....
The Ultrasound Tech did not even check the gender out since we didn't want to know.
I am feeling quite a bit better, still have some nausea and a headache every now and then, bit it is all getting better. The iron supplement I am taking for anemia is making a big difference.
That's it for now!

The Wright Family

This is Hudson Stanley Wright, the newest member of The Wright Family. He is Baby #6 for Lisa and Dan! He is adorable. He weighed in at 8 lbs, 9oz and was 20" long.
Lisa and Hudson are doing great.
Destiny and I went to visit them last night. Lisa should be home sometime tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.

He looks like a 3 month old baby, instead of the newborn that he is! He was yawning by the time we left... I think Destiny and I wore him out, he is so cute that we couldn't put him down!

These are some pictures of the rest of the Wright kiddo's. We had a great time with them while Lisa and Dan were at the hospital. Lilly is missing in some of them because she had VBS until noon on Monday.

This was the first round of food for lunch. They all had seconds... I could not imagine what the Wright Family grocery bill must be!

Lilly and Morgan-
Morgan is the only girl.... she is very protected by all her brothers!

Hanging out in the playroom

Dillon, Mac, Gavin, Lilly, Reagan (our neighbor), Aiden and Nolan all playing on the trampoline. Morgan was on the swing set.

We had a lot of fun and The Wright Kids are VERY WELL BEHAVED.
My hat goes off to Dan and Lisa for raising such a wonderful family. Thanks for letting us hang out with them!

Fishing, Clamming and Crabbing...OH MY!

Here are some hard working fisherman! Jimmy, Harold and Dad had a great day out on the ocean. Above is their salmon catch and below is one of Dad's sturgeon catches.

They limited out on crabs as well.

Dad also enjoyed clamming.

We had homemade clam chowder last night with these clams and it was YUMMY! Great job to Sherry on cooking it up. Was wonderful!
Dad can't wait to get back out there to fish, crab and clam again!
