Preparing for back to School-

Seriously? Is it already that time? Nuts...where did the summer go? Is my baby girl really starting kindergarten? Is my first born baby really going to be a 4th grader? Is the school supply list out yet?? Did I make the right decision to pull Mac out of Sandy Grade??
All these thoughts/questions have been running through my head the last few days. Lilly had her testing for the Charter School earlier this week. I was nervous for her- she wasn't nervous at all...in fact, she breezed through the testing and did great! Mac had already done his and was glad to have it out of the way. Lilly is just beside herself to start kindergarten. I know that I am going to be a bawling mess when I drop her off on the first day...I will try very hard not to embarrass her or Mac since they will be starting a new school. Mac has been really excited about going to this Charter School but I know he is starting to get a bit apprehensive about it too. He will know some kids there, but it is a lot like starting over. It's a new environment, new teachers/staff and new kids. I know he will be fine and it's a great opportunity to better his education.
Football is in FULL swing now. They had conditioning every night this week from 5:30-7:30! He loves it, so it's worth it. ( he is playing tackle this year...yikes)
Anyhow, he met some other boys that will also be going to Charter School and it has eased his mind a bit. The nice thing about all the sports we do is our teams have kids from all different schools in the Oregon Trail School District, so you get to know a wide range of families. They will all end up at the same middle school and high school so I am glad that he will know most of them from sports before that time comes.
I am trying to prep myself for the busy school year that is just around the corner! I have a lot to do before it gets here- wish me luck...

Good Luck!! It will all be fine.
Griff will keep you company on that first day of school for his siblings.
And remember, it is ok to slow down and say, "NO!"
