Pat's BBQ and Happenings for the week-
We have been going non-stop since Dad got here... he arrived just in time for the Sandy Mountain Festival. We have been going to all the festivities and have more to do this weekend! Today the kids decorated their bikes and rode in the kids parade. They had a good time. We then had free hot dogs at the bank for lunch. Dad headed over to Dave & Kelly's house to work on their tractor and he just called- he already has it running.... Go Dad!
On Thursday morning, Sydney watched Mac & Lilly for me while Dad and I met Jimmy at the hospital for Catie Lynn's chemo appt. All went well and we were in out pretty quickly. She is doing good. All her counts looked good and her weight is good too!
Later in the evening, we watched the big Sandy parade. It was long, but pretty fun and the weather was great!

On Wed eve, we went to Jimmy & Sherry's. Dad brought up a "Texas" size fire pit for Jimmy and we fired it up. It is awesome, so awesome that Pat and I think we need one now. We cooked fish and chips and clam chowder....was yummy! Baby Brewer has a touch of jaundice so he has his photo therapy blanket. I think he looks like a little glow worm! So cute!
These are the two horny toads that Dad brought with him for the kids. We have been fussing over them like mad. They are suppose to eat red ants only and we have none of those handy....BUT - I bought some tiny crickets at the pet store and they ate them!!! I think they just must be starving....we had to order live red ants and they aren't here yet! We are really hoping they hang in there until the ants arrive. We have invested some major $ and time into them!!
Isn't he cute? My brother and I use to catch them by the dozens when we were little. They are now endangered...
Dad really out-did himself on this.... Pat (and myself) are just amazed, excited, blown away, etc....
What a generous father-in-law he has!
This thing is awesome. We are going to be doing some "practice BBQ's" with it before the big wedding in August. We have it stored at a friend's farm about 10 minutes from here, so it's not too far away. I think Pat would have loved to have just left it parked in the driveway.... all our neighbors and passer-bys were admiring it! Ha-
Anyhow, we have some plans for it and will put it to good use!
Dad also brought me tons of antiques that I am having fun with. I have already found a place for my mail box and stove! I love them! I have about 10 more boxes of things to go through and I am deciding on where to put my ice box.....
Well, that's it for now. More to come later!

Wow! That is one awesome bbq!!
He is a generous man in deed....in more ways than one.
It is an awsome gift.
The toads look great....I could never get mine to eat crickets, so yeah for you. They are so cute...
The mail box was Big John's - I think you knew that, but wanted to make sure...
I did know the mailbox was Big John's and am just so HAPPY to have it. I am going to take pictures of it and post them. It is on my front porch and all the neighbors want one now!
