Let's Play!

Griff and I spend most of our days playing! I have gotten so many great ideas for sensory things he needs from books, his speech therapist, his OT therapist and his teacher. It's amazing how much this stuff is teaching him!
One of his new favorite activities is- shoot (squirt) the zombie! Sounds funny...guess he's a "zombie hunter" in training- LOL. We draw a picture together, the idea behind it is to get him to draw a circle, a straight line, etc and then we hang it up and shoot it with water guns. Playing in the water is the sensory part. He thinks it is so funny...he laughs and laughs!
Another things he loves is blowing bubbles, which is great work for his mouth and will help him more with motor planning. I have come up with some awesome bubble blowing fun, will have to get some pictures of it and post them. He loves shaving cream too. We spray it on the mirror and he draws, smears it all over. We also put it on a cookie sheet and he drives his cars through it! That idea came from Momma B...it keeps him busy for awhile, which is a nice "break" for me. Another game we have been playing, is I give him a whistle (again, helps him with mouth work) and we all pretend we are sleeping...when he blows the whistle, we jump up all crazy, like he woke us up. He CRACKS up at us every time!
This next set of pictures is not sensory play...it's Griff being mischievous again (0:
He got into Lilly's make-up and I walked in just as he was putting on the lipstick...I have to say, he did a pretty good job of getting it on!
I am sure he will love these pictures when he is about 16!
