Summer Love
I am in love with Summer...love the warm days, love the smell of fresh cut grass, love the birds chirping and love my flowers. They bring me calmness and smiles and even memories...
These (below) are morning glories. My Dad planted them with me 2 summers ago...they never came up. I was so disappointed. This summer, they have sprouted out and are growing wonderfully...I hope they grow and grow and grow...memories- I am so grateful for every single one of them.
These are sweet Lisa's flowers that are along our front drive...she has beautiful flowers.
These are my Yellow Roses of Texas...given to me quite a few years ago from my very special Momma B...more memories- Love them and her!
I also love the lazy days of summer...we are always busy, but I try to have a lazy day every once in a while. It's good for the soul and I know the sunshine will not last forever because fall and winter are coming upon us all too quickly. Yes... I DO LOVE Summer. I want to invite her in and beg her to stay (yes summer
is a she, soft and warm and pretty with wildflowers in her flowing
windblown beach hair). My love of summer runs deep and started young.
I also love watching my kids play in the sun. It's magical...
Summer is full of little moments. Fountain fun, beach play, popsicles, the wonder of a summer rain, fresh lemonade, wildflowers, summer skin.
What moments are your favorite? Summer moments are definitely mine... like the other night at the park; the sun was setting behind my kids, they had
brought their bubbles along, Mac was holding the jar while Lilly and Griff
spun in circles creating a stream of tiny bubbles. Just an ordinary
moment, but one I knew would hold a bit of magic in my heart and a moment/image of them that will forever be in my mind.
oh yes, I do love summer.
