Oaks Park Fun
We took Griff to Oaks Park for the first time over Memorial Day Weekend. The kids love it there and he became a big fan of it as well!
There was so much to do and look at and lots of fun rides!
Pat and I were very surprised that our wild and crazy Lil' Griff wasn't sure about the rides at first...especially the Carousel! Who is scared of a Carousel? He would not sit on any of the animals. He screamed and screamed, so Pat moved him to a bench seat. He calmed down pretty quickly and enjoyed the rest of the ride.
The huge slide was love at first sight. He saw that and wanted on it right away...go figure. Scared of Carousel, but not of a huge, tall and fast slide??
The new Rock'Tug Boat seemed great at first. We didn't see how it worked in action before they got on...well, it had sort of a crazy spin too it and Griff almost lost it, but he hung in there. Pat was SO RELIEVED, LOL. Griff couldn't get off it fast enough.
Mac was a trooper and rode on all the little kids rides that Lilly wanted to go on. He didn't complain one time. Lilly went on every single ride possible...little kid rides and the crazy, scary adult rides. She was ticked that there were some rides that she wasn't tall enough to go on!
This picture below is a MILESTONE for Pat and I as Griff's parents!
This is the FIRST TIME in his 2.5 years that he has fallen asleep in the stroller for us!!!!!
We wore him out, it was AWESOME!
(Blogger will not flip the picture for me, grrrrr)
Anyhow- it was great and it gave Mac and Lilly more time to ride all the rides again!
At the end of our adventure, Griff woke up and was ready to play tag with Mac.
It was a "rare" outing where we all went out together, in public, with Griff....
and it was well worth it. He surprised us with how well he did.
